Thoughtful Insurance for Peaceful Sailing

At Vrakotas Big Blue Charters Ltd., we prioritize your financial security and peace of mind. Our fleet is fully insured, providing coverage that extends beyond the standard security deposit. In the rare event of significant damage, we’ve partnered with the esteemed EIS European Insurance Group to offer an optional Charter Deposit Insurance Cover, safeguarding your interests.

How Our Charter Deposit Insurance Works:

  • Initial Security Deposit: You place a non-refundable security deposit via credit card at the start of the charter. This is an authorization hold only, with no actual funds transferred.
  • Damage Claims: Should any damage occur, the owner may utilize the deposit. Subsequently, you can reclaim the damage costs from EIS, limiting your exposure to just 8% of the deposit amount. For example, for a refundable deposit of €2000, your payment to EIS would be

  • Damage Cost Sharing: In the event of damage, you would be responsible for 10% of the claim’s value, subject to a minimum of €100. For instance, if the lodged security deposit is €2000 and the damage amounts to €1600, your additional payment would be 10% of the damage, equating to €160.

Our Recommendation: To avoid any concerns at the conclusion of your charter, we highly recommend opting for the Charter Deposit Insurance. This ensures that any potential damages do not destroy the memories of your voyage.
